Play Dough: Christmas Fun for the Kids!

Gingerbread Play Dough

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground nutmeg

2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 cup water

  1. In medium saucepan whisk together all dry ingredients.
  2. Mix in water and oil (use spoon not your whisk, trust me. LOL) until you have a thick batter.
  3. Cook over low/medium heat until thick dough forms.
  4. Scoop out onto parchment paper and then knead until smooth.

Makes 2 cups of dough.

I made some of this for “my kids” at work last year! They loved it as much as I did! LOL! This Play Dough smells amazing. Make your house smell “Christmassy” and entertain the kids for a couple hours, it’s a win-win.

This would be a great DIY Christmas gift for nieces/nephews or the neighbor kids. Include a kid-size rolling pin and a couple cookie cutters and you have a complete gift!
